Daz To Unreal – Switching from Epic Marketplace to Daz Marketplace
There’s been some issues if you’re switching from the version of the plugin on the Epic Marketplace to the one on the Daz Marketplace. I’ll still be updating the Epic Marketplace plugin, but it might not always be the latest. I think we’ll get these smoothed out over time, but here’s some tips. As always, make sure to backup before changing the plugin.
- The Daz Studio plugin file has been renamed and the Epic Marketplace version will stop the Unreal Marketplace version from installing. To fix this you need to delete the Epic Marketplace one. By default it is at “C:\Program Files\DAZ 3D\DAZStudio4\plugins\DazToUnreal.dll”
- Uninstall the Unreal Engine plugin using the Epic Launcher, then install the version from Daz Central
- If you can’t find the Daz to Unreal Bridge in Daz Central you might need to “purchase” it for free at https://www.daz3d.com/daz-to-unreal-bridge
- Make sure your Daz Install Manager is up to date and your Daz Studio is up to date.
